Principal apologized for high school band spelling out a racial slur

Principal Bo Ford has issued a letter to parents apologizing for the conduct of members of the Gwinnett County high school marching band for spelling out a four-letter racial slur, starting with the letter “C.” on their instrument covers. Some members of the of the band instrument covers displayed the name of the high school mascot – “Broncos.”

Principal Ford also called the term “hurtful, disrespectful and disappointing.” He also added that the students involved would be disciplined.
