US Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith Expresses White Supremacist Views Again

Cindy Hyde-Smith

Using language that some analysts have called a gaffe United State Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith expresses White supremacist ideology for the second time when she suggests to her supporters  the need to suppress the vote, “And then they remind me, that there’s a lot of liberal folks in those other schools who that maybe we don’t want to vote. Maybe we want to make it just a little more difficult. And I think that’s a great idea,” Hyde-Smith says in the 18-second video.

In another video, Senator Hyde-Smith is heard making references to lynchings in a state with a notorious history of the practice during Jim Crow,  “If he invited me to a public hanging, I’d be on the front row,” the senator is heard saying in the video.
